Shree Lunkaran Das Ganga Devi Chaudhary Academy For Art & Literature, amidst a grand function on May 23, 2007 honoured three eminent personalities for their contributions in music, art and research with Narayan Gopal Sangeet Samman, Itihassiromani Baburam Acharya Sodh Samman and Saraswoti Samman respectively.

Founder Patron of the Academy Shri Lunkaran Das Chaudhary presented the honours. Personalities felicitated this year were Shri Subi Shah with Narayan Gopal Sangeet Samman for his research work on folk music and tunes, Prof. Dr. Mukunda Raj Aryal with Baburam Acharya Sodh Samman for his research work in Nepalese Culture and Shri Sunil Pokharel, a notel theater personality, with Saraswati Samman for the promotion of theater culture in Nepal. All these honours carry a purse of Rs. 51,000 along with a citation plaque.

Similarly, Nepal Nava Pratibha Puraskar which was established this year was presented to an upcoming photo journalist Shri Narendra Shrestha. The prize carried a purse of Rs. 25,000 and a felicitation plaque. Chief Guest of the function, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Smt.
