CG Finco Agent Conference 2007 was successfully held at Godavari Village Resort, Godavari from June 7, 2007 to June 9, 2007. This also marks the successful completion of four years of CG Finco.

Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary, Chairman of CG Finco, Mr. Atish Shrestha, Country Head of Western Union, Nepal and Mr. Ashish Sharma, Dy- General Manager of CG Finco. All our agent partners’ representatives including Banks, Financial Institutions and retail locations, who had come from Purba Mechi to Paschim Mahakali, attended the Conference.

Chief Guest for the event Mr. Binod Kumar Chaudhary expressed his gratitude to all the agent partners and the CG Finco team for their efforts and dedications to help build the economy by collecting inward remittance. He highlighted the potential of the remittance business in years to come and a need to develop strategies to effectively move ahead in the long term. He also stressed on the need to channelize the remittance amount into productive sectors so as to facilitate capital formation for growth of the economy.

Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary presented some new projects that CG Finco is planning to undertake with the existing agent partners to grow mutually. Mr. Ashish Sharma reflected upon the performance of CG Finco and its tremendous growth year by year. He also shared with the agent partners future plans and strategies to move ahead. Mr. Atish Shrestha highlighted on some of the strategies that Western Union is planning to introduce in the near future to increase the total volume of inward remittance as well as to increase overall market share of Western Union in total remittance flowing into Nepal. Representatives of various agent partners of CG Finco also expressed their views on existing problems, challenges, opportunities and suggestions to tap those opportunities and overcome challenges.

The event was also celebrated as a token of appreciation to all the agent partners on providing their valuable services over the years. Mr. Atish Shrestha distributed Certificate f Appreciation and a Memento to all the agent partners, Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary distributed CG Finco Excellence Awards to the top 5 agents of CG Finco; and Mr. Ashish Sharma distributed performance rewards for the agents who met their Magic Plan targets.

The formal program was followed by a cocktail dinner along with a cultural program to entertain the participants. The event served as a perfect medium for all the agents to get to know each other and have a relaxed and fun filled weekend.
