CG has recently signed an agreement with Nodan Club on 18th
January 2008 to support their latest project Youth Green Circle
(YGC). The major objective of the YGC is to put into action
healthy and friendly environmental practices in public and
private organizational sectors and also share this green message
across the country.
This project named CG TLE-CSR.NE.5 -Youth
Green Circle will initially focus on working together with
organizations which uses use papers in high quantity and time
and again face difficulties or inconvenience when it comes
to disposing them. The whole drive is through youths and hence
it will be the team YGC who will initially collect the used
papers from the organizations through various channels, store
them for recycling and then accordingly resale or reuse. The
team members of Nodan will communicate and coordinate with
various organizations to form the circle and create an environment
of mutual understanding.
Though CG has supported this program, the
team will work with the organizations on membership basis.
Their plan being a long term, and to make it a sustainable
activity, they will be offering memberships at nominal cost
of 10000 NRS per annum which not only includes the paper garbage
management, but also involves trainings and some souvenirs.
In addition, the member organization may use YGC logo declaring
the setup as Paper wastage free zone.
The idea is not only to manage the paper
garbage, it is also to create awareness for environmental
welfare, involve youths in this noble cause to enhance their
various abilities, and empower public and private sector,
along with the youth, towards protecting the environment and
making a difference.
