Late Smt. Sushila Koirala, wife of veteran Congress leader, late Shri B. P. Koirala, was felicitated with Ganga Devi Chaudhary Smriti Samman for her noted contribution in the field of women upliftment, social awareness activities amidst a special function held at her residence by the Prime Minister of Nepal Rt. Hon. Girija Prasad Koirala.

The Chairman of Shri Lunkaran Das Ganga Devi Chaudhary Academy for Art & Literature, Shri Basant Kumar Chaudhary and other members of the academy were also present at the function. The award carries a purse of Rs. 100,001 and a citation plaque.
