WAI TO SPONSOR MR. SHIVA RAM SHRESTHA
In the history of Nepali professional golf player Shiva Ram
Shrestha has added one more chapter by winning a slot in the
Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). He has achieved this
by playing 20`h during the Qualifying School 2007-08 Golden
Green Golf Club at Gurgoan in India and has received A Category
Full Playing Card on the PGTI. He therefore will be eligible
to participate in at least 20 tournaments on the PGTI.
For the 1" time in the history of Nepalese golfer our
young talented golfer Mr. Shiva Ram Shrestha have been successful
in being qualified in the Indian Professional tour and he
will be participating in various international golf tournaments
making Nepal proud. RNGC has sound him very talented and so
provided all the necessary basic support.
Due to his promising abilities to perform international standard
of golf game; the golfing circle of the Nepal has high hope
on Mr. Shrestha since he has been training in the country
and abroad to perform well in the coming professional circle.
To meet the various demands of the forthcoming tournaments
where Mr. Shrestha will be playing, and to encourage a budding
Nepali Golf player, several organizations have come up with
financial and other supports for Shiva Ram Shrestha, to support
and encourage him in the coming games.
The main sponsor to support Mr. Shrestha is WAI WAI INSTANT
NOODLES and the co-sponsors are Yeti Airways and KIA Motors.
These organizations will support and organize Mr. Shrestha's
travel, accommodations, correspondence and all other needs
to perform.
The golfing community will not forget the determined contribution
of Mr. Tashi Ghale in bringing Shiva Ram to this level and
he is the promoter of Mr. Shrestha .
Mr. Shrestha will be training in Bangkok under the supervision
of Mr. Aaron Bergman from the 5th of September, 2007.
Golfing Background:
Mr. Shiva Ram Shrestha is 23, an employee
of Royal Nepal Golf Club has been playing golf since his childhood.
He has worked as a caddy and has also won the Caddy Championship.
He was selected in the Amateur National Team and has represented
Nepal in the Asian Games in Doha. In the 2007-08 season, he
will he playing several national and international professional
golf tournaments like:
