CG has been contributing for the society and the nation’s development in various sectors:
Health
- Shree Lunkaran Das Ganga Devi Chaudhary Charity Hospital Established in 1994 provides subsidized medical treatment and runs health awareness programs to economically underprivileged people of Duhabi area in Eastern Nepal.
- Ganga Avedana Ashram is a palliative care centre for helping terminally ill people in coping with mental stress and physical agony.
- CG Medicare provides primitive, preventive and curative medical facilities to its manpower and the local. Medicare treats approximately 3,000 patients a year and has a 24 hrs ambulance service in operation.
Art and Literature
Established in 1994 for the promotion of art and literature, Shree Lunkaran Das-Ganga Devi Chaudhary Academy for Art and Literature honors eminent personalities for their contribution in music, art and research every year. The Academy had instituted 3 annual cash awards with citation carrying a purse of Rs. 51,000 per award.
Three years back it had the institute Nepal Pratibha Puraskar to recognize the contribution of youth in any area and Ganga Devi Chaudhary Smriti Samman to recognize the contribution in women empowerment.
Sports and Entertainment
- Supporting youth talent in sports at both national and international levels like U – 19 National Men’s Cricket team and Women’s National Cricket Team.
- Supporting sport events in Cricket, Football, and Squash.
- Promoting Golf in the country by maintaining a superlative golf course at an affordable price and also sponsoring local golf talent.
Infrastructure Development
CG has been contributing for developing the infrastructure by extending support in:
- Construction of roads
- Construction of bus waiting stands
- Construction of culverts
- Construction of pillars for extension of electricity supplies
- Construction of local schools
- Construction of local health posts and local police stations
Nature and Environment
- CG has an Agro Forestry covering more than 70 acres of land at its Industrial village Chaudhary Udyog Gram (CUG), which produces fruits, vegetables, ornamental and deciduous trees. CG has planted more than 10,000 trees inside CUG.
- Similarly, being responsible to the environment, CG has an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETF) for refining the effluent factors for reusing the water for various purposes. The plant has the capacity to purify 16.7 cubic meter effluent per hour.
- CG also supports environment awareness events like Bagmati Eco Challenge (Jal Yatra) along with support to NGOs to conduct programs on awareness on Climate Change.
- In the time of natural calamity, CG has been extending its support from time to time. It has contributed Rs. 0.10 per pack of sales of Wai Wai noodles for the Koshi Flood victims along with food products and clothes.
