Chaudhary Group organized a PRESS MEET on 6th Nov, 07 at Everest Hotel with the Theme - Today and Tomorrow.

This initiative was driven by the commitment of CG towards its social responsibility of updating its key stakeholders on the overall picture, plan and ongoing events. It is why we themed it- Today and Tomorrow.

Mr.Binod Kumar Chaudhary, President and Managing Director, of the group talking to the media said,” We are in the process to get license for three hydropower projects and planning for a mega cement project. We are converting our business into mega-business enterprises with diversified investments, switching smoothly from the manufacturing sector to infrastructure and service sector”. He added that Chaudhary Group no longer has association with Mahalaxmi Sugar Mills.

With the aim of keeping its stakeholders informed about company’s activities, growth and progress, the CG-NEWS Vol.8 was also launched during the meet by Mr. Binod Kumar Chaudhary.

Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary, Executive Director of the group speaking on “Today and Tomorrow” informed that CG has a 20% growth in its FMCG Division.” Our electronics division has also grown by 35 % over the past five years”, he said, adding that CG Finco subsidiary of CG, has been a key contributor in reducing the 80% of the remittance funds, which were channeled through unofficial routes to 40%.The remittance business contributes 20% to Nepal GDP.He further added that the group would continue fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility and work in different sectors like health, education and sports, among others.
